Well, so now the big fuss is on Henry's handball against the Republic of Ireland, how he cheated the game, tore apart the moral fabric of the game, disgraced the reputation of French football, pissed on a 60 year old granny, ran a sick cayote over and cheated an orphan of his last hotdog bun, whatever. I am not going to defend him. It was a blatant handball, it led to a goal, and there isn't any possible way to possibly deny it, unless the hand wasn't his hand, but a mix of very good vodka and imagination. But it escaped the men in black, so for me the finger goes back to the football governing bodies. I've already written one article about video technology here, and will be loathe to discuss it again, but both FIFA and UEFA need to seriously sit down and realize that integrating video technology into football is really not as difficult as integrating ln(x).
